The text in FloralWiki should be assumed to be essentially copyright free and I would expect anyone editing pages to accept this. However, no one, including myself would like to see our writings ripped off without acknowledgement so a Creative Commons Licence is applied.
It is, of course, important that no material posted on FloralWiki is itself taken from a copyright source without permission - or at least acknowledgement for short quotations. The kind of material expected here tends, naturally, to be public domain - and inevitably all of us will consult standard works to check facts before committing to text. We all know, I hope the difference between this and copying shamelessly word for word. I think the test should be "can I draft what I want to say from my own head - and then check and correct using my books ?" The books used in this way should be cited on the Acknowledgments page.

Do not upload your own pictures unless you are happy to accept the copyright assumed for this site and [FloralImages] and based on a Creative Commons Licence with the right reserved to charge for commercial and private uses of the image.
